Privacy Policy

This policy describes information gathered during a visit, why it may be used, and the limited circumstances in which others may receive it. By using Frontier County Criminal History, you accept these practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep or record those search terms on our systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

We retain an email message when needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

Our servers automatically receive certain technical details when a page loads:

  • Page-view times and the pages visited
  • Device type and operating system
  • The referring site, when available
  • Browser name and version
  • The device's IP address
  • Time spent on visited pages

Cookies and Analytics

Small cookie files and analytics services help us measure aggregate use, including popular pages and common exit points. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how some site functions behave.

What We Do With This Data

  • Diagnosing and correcting technical faults
  • Routing search input to the selected partner
  • Maintaining site speed and availability
  • Understanding which content is useful or needs improvement
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests

No Criminal-Record Data on File

Frontier County Criminal History does not sell, compile, or maintain a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Sheriff, county courts, Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division, and Nebraska Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal files.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, not this policy, govern submitted information. Each provider sets its own retention and disclosure rules. Read those terms before running a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to courts, the Sheriff's Office, Nebraska agencies, legal resources, and outside search services. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy rules apply. Review them before disclosing personal information.

Advertising providers may use their own systems to track activity across websites for targeted advertising.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal information. Data may be available to:

  • Analytics vendors measuring traffic and performance
  • Search partners processing a query
  • Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
  • Advertising networks serving ads

How We Protect Your Data

Standard safeguards protect data in our control, but no internet system can guarantee perfect security. We take reasonable steps without promising that a breach is impossible.

Users Under 18

This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor supplied information, we will remove it.

Your Data Rights

Nebraska government-record access is governed by the Nebraska Public Records Act, Neb. Rev. Stat. §§84-712 through 84-712.09. Public criminal-history dissemination is further limited by Neb. Rev. Stat. §29-3523. Those laws govern official records rather than data held by this private site. Rights over site data depend on the law that applies to the request. At a minimum, you can:

  • Request deletion of your data
  • Ask to see information held about you
  • Opt out of certain processing
  • Seek correction of inaccurate information
